Zenith Care Support Services Ltd is committed to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 at the latest. We will measure our emissions, reduce avoidable energy and travel, work with suppliers and staff, and report progress honestly. We will not rely on carbon offsets instead of reducing emissions within our operations and value chain.
As a Greater Manchester care provider, Zenith Care will also support the city-region’s ambition to become carbon neutral by 2038. This is an operational direction rather than a claim that the organisation has already achieved net zero. Patient and service-user safety, dignity, continuity of care and workforce accessibility will remain central to every environmental decision.
This plan establishes the governance, reporting boundary, targets and delivery programme for Zenith Care. It follows the structure of the UK Government Carbon Reduction Plan technical standard, including Scope 1, Scope 2 and the five specified Scope 3 categories. It is proportionate to a growing small and medium-sized care provider. Zenith Care has established a provisional baseline for the financial year 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027 using reasonable activity assumptions for a small community-care provider. The estimate supports planning and tender assurance while source-data collection continues. It is not an audited footprint. Electricity bills, mileage claims, staff travel surveys, waste records and supplier information will be used to replace the assumptions at the annual update, with any material variance explained.
